I'm not really a gardener, but I had to post these photos of our garden as a tribute to my hubby 'cause he works so hard to make it look nice!
This is the BEST our hydrangeas have ever looked! I think this is the 3rd year we've had them, and each year they come back a different color and look better'n better!
This little guy is looking better than ever too! After 4 years it's finally flowering! Amazing what a drip water system can do for your plants!
This is an area in progress. That old-fashioned water pump was left there by the previous home owners. We love it! It originally had an old wine barrel under the spout and it was rigged up to run water thru the pump into the barrel. The barrel eventually rotted away, so we are looking for a new one.

Those hydrangeas are GORGEOUS! What a pretty yard you have. Kudos to the hubby for all his hard work!

Your flowers are gorgeous! I love the little area around the pump. It looks you have a huge yard with lots of trees, lucky you!
And you should go for the red door, it really draws attention to the front of the house and draws your guests in. I'm sooo loving mine.
Everything looks lovely. First, my vegetable garden is made of 8 foot by 4 foot boards, not pressure treated dropped on top of the grass and filled with dirt. I then mulched paths. Easy peazy!!! Second, I made the pom pom balls with 18 pieces of tissue paper, full sized and folded accordion style... you know like how you made carnation tissue flowers. And that is it. Tie with wire, and pull apart carefully. It makes a big tissue paper ball.
Love all the work you are doing.

Pretty blooms, and that pumpkin... Be still my heart!
I love your hydrangea. Mine is just blooming for the first time in 3 years. And I love the water pump. And I hear pumpkins will do that. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving me a comment.
How fun that the pumpkin came back! I wonder if any of ours will someday? I think it is funny how people from other states react to our hydrangeas... I take it for granted that I have a HUGE one in the backyard. Your hubby has done a great job :)
The hydrangeas are beautiful! That is my favorite flower by far!
Your yard and garden is beautiful! I love hydrangeas. Mine was a bit skimpy but came back purple this year. It has to do with the acidity of the soil. You can actually put things on them so they change colors.Your camping trip looks like fun. Even though it was just me and my husband, we had fun on our camping trip. Jackie Ps believe it or not I am doing the nasal rinse too!
Hydrangeas are my favorite. Yours are beautiful!!!!

Those hydrangeas are fantastic! I wish I could get them to grow here. Too hot and sunny, though. :(
